However, Bali Tourism Board urges all to start preparing sufficient stock of face masks in the case of an ashfall.  The best measure to guard against an ashfall is to stay indoors. Yet if it is necessary to go out, then the best protective measure against suspended ash is to wear a face mask. Bali Airport is operating as normal


Saturday, 23 September 2017 17:00 local Bali time Bali Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International, has increased coordination meetings every two hours since the alert level of Mount Agung was raised last night on 22 September 2017 at 20:30 local Bali time. Airlines schedule currently remain normal and passengers' arrival departure process is maintained. 23 September 2017 10:00 local Bali time As Mount Agung level has now been raised to Level 4 (danger) since 22 September 2017 at 20:30 local Bali time, we praised the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for intense attention given to coordinating the mitigation. Refugees currently amount to 17551 adults and children, the utmost need is for food particularly baby's milk, rice and mineral water.
